Kurzes Super8 Video über ein Wassergespenst, das erscheint und den Springbrunnen am Strausberger Platz heimsucht, als eine Passantin dort eine Kiste mit alten Dias findet. Bei den Dias handelt es sich um Aufnahmen von Springbrunnen in Moskau und St. Petersburg, die vermutlich in den 70er Jahren von einem Reisenden aus Berlin aufgenommen wurden. Sie lagen 2021 tatsächlich in der Nähe des Strausberger Platzes auf der Straße. Der Brunnen im Video ist Teil des sozialistisch-klassizistischen Architekturensembles Frankfurter Allee, gleicht momentan aber einer Ruine, da er seit 2024 saniert wird. Er wird nicht nur restauriert, sondern soll gemäß des Entwurfes von 1967 wieder ausgebaut, und in seinen “Ursprungszustand” zurückversetzt werden. Das Video versucht, die vorgefundenen Überreste aufzuzeichnen, bevor der Brunnen als scheinbar Zeiten überdauerndes Monument wiederhergestellt sein wird.

Before the exhibition the group talked about fears related to exhibiting in a neighbourhood that is predominantly white working-class and far away from Berlin’s art scene. Is art injected or exposed in such a place? Does a sculpture have a chance of being perceived as anything other than an alien threat or&#38;nbsp;something the artists made and put here before they left back to where they came from?&#38;nbsp;
During the exhibition visitors were invited to draw on the sculpture with chalk.&#38;nbsp;
